The Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology meeting's abstract deadline (http://www.yeast-meet.org/ 2010/abstracts/) is April 14. You don't want to miss the scientific program that has been organized. Be sure to get your abstract in by the deadline. Substantial travel awards are available to students and postdocs that need financial assistance (April 14th application deadline).
The Yeast meeting (http://www.yeast-meet.org) will be held at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, July 27 - August 1.
Many special presentations have been planned to make this the best Yeast Meeting ever, they include:
- Discovery, Research and Society Special Symposium with Paul Nurse, Lee Hartwell and Marc Ganeau
- Jack Szostak's talk - DNA ends: just the beginning
- Presentation of the GSA Novitski Prize to Rodney Rothstein
- Presentation of the GSA Medal to Marian Carlson

- Ira Herskowitz Award presented to Brenda Andrews
